A NOTE TO ALL BLOG OWNERS:

   

Yes those ugly black boxes that are showing up on so many Blogs are getting to be a real big pain in the ass, but I have received two e-mails from two Blog Owner's of what they have tried to solve the problem, so I tried it on my Wallpaper blog and so far so good, none of my Posted Wallpapers are coming up missing nor are the posted pictures for these two Blog Owner's.  Oh and one more thing, I'm doing the same here on this Blog and none of my posted pictures so far are missing here.  And while there is no guarantee that this is going to solve your problem, I thought at least I should post what (3) of us are doing that is working for Us so far.  So here goes....

   

#1> Create Yourself a NEW G-MAIL Account and write down the new address and DO NOT Link this new account to Google + in away shape or form!
   

#2> Now Sign into your Blog's Dashboard just like you have been doing and click on "Settings/Basic/Add Author" and send a invite to your new G-Mail address and then close your Dashboard.
   

#3> Open up your New G-Mail Account an accept the invite and this will grant you permission to Post postings on your Blog under this NEW Account.  I also recommend that you grant this second account "Full Admin. Privileges, but you have to do this under your original account.  This way if your original account is closed by Google, you still can access you Blog via this new 2nd Account.
   

#4> The next time you are ready to do a Posting to Your Blog, sign in Under Your New Account and do your Posting.  Each time you do a up-load of a Photo, this will place it in a NEW PICASA FOLDER under Your New Account, not in the original Picasa folder for Your Blog that is having the problems.
   

Like I said, there is no guarantee this is going to solve your problem, for it makes no since that one Picasa File folder is having a problem, while other New Picasa Folders are working just fine????  But then again, We talking about GOOGLE!!!!  And you have nothing to loose and everything to grain if it Works!!!  And if it doesn't, well at least you now have an additional way to log into your Blog. OK? Ok.

1.  Go to Layout/Design Editor;
2.  Add new HTML/Javascript gadget under your blog's Header;
3.  Do not title the new gadget;
4.  Add the following script to the gadget (you can copy and paste):

Hey Guys, don't mean to alarm you about something that hasn't happened to a Gay Blog yet, but something very, very important just came through within one of my Google Groups that I belong to and I thought you should all know about it and it is not GOOD!!!  It's not bad enough that we all have to worry about Google Closing down Blogger Blogs, now this......

   

        

As part of a new expansion of government power over information, the Department of Homeland Security has begun seizing and shutting down Internet web sites (web domains) without due process or a proper trial. DHS simply seizes web domains that it wants to and posts an ominous "Department of Justice" logo on the web site. See an example at http://torrent-finder.com
   
Over 75 web sites were seized and shut down last week, and there is no indication that the government will stop such efforts. Right now, their focus is web sites that they claim "violate copyrights," yet the torrent-finder.com website that was seized by DHS contained no copyrighted content whatsoever.  It was merely a search engine website that linked to destinations where people could access copyrighted content. Google also links to copyrighted content -- does that mean the feds will soon seize Google, too?

So Guys, take warning and just be very, very careful when posting any copyrighted Photos and/or Videos and/or providing links to download copyrighted material, even those of you that have Blogs on your OWN DOMAIN!!!!  And if this isn't bad enough, there doesn't appear to be anyway to submit an appeal, like with Google Blogger!!!

I previously posted a tip on getting rid of this pop-up window, but two better options came to light and I want to present them to you.

P@T offers the following approach to deal with this pop-up:

Jeff, that info is not entirely correct, it is enough to leave out the icon out of the link (you can turn this of yourself in your pop-up window when you want to ad or change your links) if you leave the sensualwriter link but you remove the icons in your link section than it works also ! done this a few months ago allready .... hope this helps to keep the sensualwriter links up ! :))

And Brent offers another approach to deal with this pop-up:

Hi Guys, just a follow up thought on Jeff’s Great Blog Tip. If you do have a link on Your Blog to any Blogs Hosted by sensualwriter.com, and you would still like to show a link to them without that Annoying Pop-Up Window, you could also place a Text Box right under your Link List or Blog List and type in the Blogs Name and then Hyperlink link it to the Blog. Since Hyperlinks do not use the RSS Feed, like they do in a Link List or a Blog List, this should work for you to link to a sensualwriter.com Blog.

HAS YOUR BLOG BEEN DELETED?

DO YOU WANT YOUR ORIGINAL BLOG RE--OPENED?

If so, read on.

Depending on which Blogger algorithm deleted your blog, or your entire account including Gmail, there are generally two different approaches you can take to get everything reinstated provided your blog is not a spam blog.

FIRST APPROACH: Attempt to log into your blog. If you cannot get to your dashboard you probably received a screen from Blogger which says your blog has been deleted due to possible violation of TOS (Terms of Service). If this screen asks for your mobile phone number, you're in luck! Give your mobile number, choose "Text" or "Automated Voice", and press enter. Keep the screen up and your phone handy. Your phone should ring in less than 60 seconds. You will get a code number. Enter the code number on the the screen and press enter. Your blog should be back up and available within another 60 seconds. That was my experience. Very simple.

TIP: If you do not have a mobile phone, enter your land line phone # and choose "Automated Voice". You will get a computer call within 60 seconds giving you the code number, so have a pen and paper handy, or let it go to voice mail.

SECOND APPROACH: Attempt to log into your blog. If you can get to your dashboard but you see that your blog has been locked, deleted, closed, etc. due to possible violation of TOS, take a deep breath because Blogger is gonna make you jump through hoops to get your blog back open to the viewing public.

First: Click "Request Unlock Review" which is located under your blog on the Dashboard. (This is hoop #1 because absolutely no one will be reviewing your blog!).

Second: Keep clicking "Request Unlock Review" DAILY until you finally get a new form with a word verification fill-in. Complete word verification and submit. (This is hoop #2 because no one is going to review your blog yet.)

Third: Go to Blogger Help--> Blogger Forums--> Something is Broken. (This is the hoop Blogger never tells you about!) Create a new entry requesting that your blog be unlocked. Several things to include in your entry: you MUST include your blog's URL address. State that you have already a) requested an unlock review, and b) you have completed the word verification form. Request that your blog be reopened.

TIP 1: At this point, you'll be very frustrated. Do not be abusive in your request. Keep it short and simple even though you may want everyone at Blogger to eat shit. This is not the post to vent your frustrations.

TIP 2: Make sure you click "follow this thread" at bottom of post so you will know if someone responds.

TIP 3: Send the URL address of your post to us so we can follow along and track the progress. Jeff has had way too much experience dealing with this process and can be very helpful to you if he knows what's going on.

Fourth: Sit and wait. Once you get an employee's attention, your blog will be reviewed for the very first time!! The Blogger Employee will either reinstate your blog or decide it violated TOS and not reinstate it. This one decision is final and there is no appeal. No one from Google/Blogger will ever tell you why your blog was deleted, locked, etc. in the first place, what you can do to make sure it never happens again, or anything about the final decision. Don't waste your time trying to get a detailed response from a Google Employee on anything pertaining to your blog being deleted, locked, etc. It'll NEVER HAPPEN!!
